History and organization

Ossind SpA specializes in the field of oxy and plasma cutting of carbon steel sheets for structural applications. Established in 1975 at Bondeno in the province of Ferrara, the company has grown to the point of acquiring a detached headquarters at Trecenta, in the province of Rovigo, where it  produces heavy carpentry for the rail industry and for handling companies in general.

The continuous updating of technologies employed, the enhancement of productivity and improvement of the quality standard have allowed us to place the company at the top of the industry. Today Ossind, alongside the traditional oxy-fuel cutting, has two plasma cutting plants, thus ensuring a complete and reliable service to solve any thermal cutting problem.

The organization has evolved over time, adapting to the needs of customers by providing a wide range of material types of different thicknesses, ensuring product quality and speed in their delivery.

Ossind has an in-house technical office with modern equipment for the development and production of computer programs which optimize the exploitation of the raw material for the production of each part.

Ossind systematically performs destructive tests of materials at qualified laboratories. This experience has allowed us to manage contracts, whether railway related or not, in which specific tests and inspections are required.

Finally Ossind pays particular attention to the packaging phase, producing customised kits where the different elements that make up the unit are grouped together in the right amounts, complete with the various processes.
